Latest Nokia Music Phone Joins T-Mobile – Nokia X3 Released

The new Nokia X3 has now been released in its red and black colouring onto the T-Mobile network, originally launched as a SIM Free phone and more recently on the Orange network on pay monthly contract deals the Nokia X3 is the second model to come from the new X-Range of Nokia music phones.

Joining the existing Nokia X6 in blue and silver the X3 takes the same great Nokia music playing software and packages it in a new and more afordable sliding casing with some ‘lighter’ features to keep the cost down.

Rather than offering a full touch screen as found in the X6 model the Nokia X3 opts for a pocket friendly slide out keypad which keeps the keys protected whilst not in use. (No worrying about scratching a touch screen here!)

The black and red edition Nokia X3 also offers a 3.2 mega pixel camera for sharp shooting your friends before allowing you to either directly upload to your favourite social network or send to others either via Bluetooth, SMS or email.

Also featured is a 3.5mm audio jack allowing you to use your own pair of standard headphones, access to the Ovi Store for downloading new content and applications, Nokia Maps for satellite navigation and an expandable memory of up to 16GB for storing thousands of music tracks, photos and videos using a MicroSD card.

Although there is not a masive range of music orientated devices available on the market with many people opting instead for a separate iPod or similar standalone MP3 player there is some stiff competition from some of the better known manufacturers.

The Nokia X3 faces competition from Sony Ericsson’s Walkman range of music orientated handsets, in particular the Sony Ericsson W995 although this is a mre expensive model and the Sony W705 which is a closer match on features.

Samsung also have a couple of music phones of note including the Samsung Beat DJ which offers extra functionality for users to actually interact with their music via DJ settings and a unique scratch function, LG have just released their budget LG GM205 which features a handy stereo speaker system with bass boost whilst Nokia’s own Nokia 5230 which has recently been launched in both Pink and Purple colour schemes also offers competition for those who are on a strict budget.

The Nokia X3 is now available on both Orange and T-Mobile contract packages as well as a SIM Free phone with no extra ongoing line rental costs, this latest Nokia music phone is also set to be released as a Pay As You Go phone over the coming days which will please many who struggle to pass the network credit checks and do not want to pay the higher price of the SIM Free version.
